Basketball Recap: Watseka/Milford Takes Down Reed-Custer in a Playoff Battle

Watseka/Milford had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Reed-Custer Comets with a sharp 50-24 victory on Tuesday. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 20 points or more this season.

Several Comets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Morgan Toler, who posted seven points. That's the most points Toler has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Grace, who earned seven points.

The win (which was Watseka/Milford's fourth in a row) raised their record to 28-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Reed-Custer, they now have a losing record of 15-16.

As of now, neither Watseka/Milford nor Reed-Custer have any future games scheduled.
