Football Game Preview: Seiling Wildcats vs. Shattuck Indians

Seiling is 1-6 against Shattuck since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Seiling's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Seiling is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Okeene, who was ranked third at the time (Seiling was ranked first). The Wildcats put the hurt on the Whippets with a sharp 50-28 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Whippets: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shattuck). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 62-6 victory over Ringwood. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Shattuck's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Seiling, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Everything came up roses for Seiling against Shattuck in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
