Soccer Recap: Northwood Takes a Loss

If Northwood was feeling good fresh off their 7-2 takedown of Sandusky on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rangers fell just short of the Vermilion Sailors by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Northwood couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Caiden Genson, who's now up to two this season.

Northwood's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Vermilion, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Northwood will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Willard at 5:00 p.m. As for Vermilion, they are taking a road trip to take on Mansfield Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
