Basketball Recap: The Burlington School Triumphs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but The Burlington School had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They secured a 60-56 W over the Fayetteville Academy Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 81-77 back in November of 2024.

Kaden Hammond continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 54% in the last five games he's played. Drew Johnson was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 12 points.

The Burlington School is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.6 points over those games. As for Fayetteville Academy, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-10.
