Baseball Recap: El Camino Comes Up Short

El Camino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-1 to the San Mateo Bearcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Colts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Nicholas Jang made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocco Bromaghim, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

El Camino's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for San Mateo, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

While El Camino had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
