Basketball Recap: Parish Hill Pirates vs. Thomaston Bears
Parish Hill and Thomaston squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Parish Hill had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 36-19 to the Thomaston Bears. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julie Millerd, who posted five points in addition to seven steals and six boards. Those seven steals gave Millerd a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gracie Pearl, who had nine points along with seven rebounds and six blocks.
Parish Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Thomaston, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-3 record.
