Recap: Georgiana Panthers vs. Choctaw County Tigers
The Georgiana Panthers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Choctaw County 95-45 at home on Saturday. Georgiana has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Defeat or not, Choctaw County got some senior leadership from Tyshawn Carlisle and Jerome Blanks Jr.. Carlisle scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, while Blanks Jr.. scored 14 points along with three steals. Blanks Jr. hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Georgiana's victory was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.7 points. As for Choctaw County, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
