Softball Recap: Woodstock Academy Takes a Loss

Woodstock Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Killingly on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Redmen by a score of 5-4. The Centaurs just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Madison Bloom was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Those doubles were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ella Chitmonotham, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Woodstock Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Killingly, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

While Woodstock Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
