Lindenhurst lost against Sachem East back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs lost 7-1 to Sachem East. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lindenhurst's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Sachem East, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lindenhurst is set to face off against their familiar foe Connetquot at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for the Bulldogs: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home dating back to last season, while the T-Birds have snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. Meanwhile, Sachem East will square off against rival Sachem North at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Sachem East 4, Sachem North 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
