Preview: Beach Bulldogs vs. Calvary Day Cavaliers
After six games on the road, Beach is heading back home. They will take on the Calvary Day Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Beach was able to grind out a solid win over Savannah Country Day, taking the game 42-31.
It was another big night for James Tisby, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brandon Castelow, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Calvary Day had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against Savannah Christian by a score of 55-43. That looming 55-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Calvary Day yet this season.
Beach's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Calvary Day, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-10.
Beach didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Calvary Day in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-48 victory. Will Beach repeat their success, or does Calvary Day have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
