Baseball Recap: Stewarts Creek Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ensworth

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stewarts Creek). They walked away with a 13-8 victory over the Ensworth Tigers on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Red Hawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Preston Stewart looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Shawn Rhodes, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Hudson Schmitz was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Stewarts Creek lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Stewarts Creek now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Ensworth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
