Meridian proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bellingham Bayhawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since May 24, 2024.

Meridian's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Bellingham, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Meridian is set to square off against their familiar foe Lynden at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bellingham will face off against rival Squalicum at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
