Baseball Recap: Woodberry Forest Tigers vs. St. Christopher's Saints
Woodberry Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to the St. Christopher's Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 on Tuesday.
Woodberry Forest saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JD Cavaleri, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Everett Robbins also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Woodberry Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for St. Christopher's, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Woodberry Forest will host Life Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for St. Christopher's, they are taking a road trip to challenge Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Saints 3.6, the Hawks 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
