Football Game Preview: Paris Tigers vs. Newton Eagles

The Paris Tigers will face off against the Newton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Paris is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 48 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Mt. Carmel on Friday. They came up short against the Golden Aces, falling 27-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Golden Aces: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Newton lost 57-34 to Richland County on Friday. Even if the Eagles couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Paris, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
