Clifton waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Maypearl Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Cubs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brystel Wise paced Clifton's offense, picking up eight kills. Wise got some help from Madison Otter and her 19 assists. Otter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Clifton's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Maypearl, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Clifton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Monahans on the 21st. As for Maypearl, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Nocona on the 21st.
