Baseball Recap: Williams Valley Drops Highest Score of Season Against Weatherly

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Williams Valley). They blew past Weatherly 22-3 on Thursday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with Weatherly recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Peyton Adams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Williams Valley is undefeated when Adams posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Boehmer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Williams Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Williams Valley back to even at 7-7. As for Weatherly, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Williams Valley will head out to take on Panther Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Weatherly, they will take on MMI Preparatory School at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
