Basketball Recap: South Tahoe Extends Winning Streak to Four

South Tahoe had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 win over the Quincy Trojans. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Trojans are ranked 574th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Parker Bryant was the offensive standout of the game as he posted 11 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Another player making a difference was Ryder Preston, who had nine points.

South Tahoe pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Quincy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coincidentally, South Tahoe and Quincy will both be playing Varsity Opponent the next time they take the court. Quincy will head out to face Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while South Tahoe will host them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
