Basketball Recap: Scotts Valley Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Santa Teresa, Scotts Valley was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They slipped by the Central Catholic Raiders 44-43. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordan Magana, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was James Mcgee, who earned six points and six rebounds.

Scotts Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Central Catholic, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Scotts Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 73-45 win against Harker on the 10th. As for Central Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-42 victory against Chavez on the 10th.
