Softball Recap: E.E. Smith Takes a Loss

E.E. Smith was the 8-3 winner over St. Pauls when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Bulls lost 18-3 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The defeat leaves the Golden Bulls still looking for their first win of the season.

E.E. Smith's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for St. Pauls, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

Looking ahead, St. Pauls will host Cape Fear at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. E.E. Smith will be paying especially close attention to St. Pauls' matchup: after St. Pauls faces off against Cape Fear, they'll take on E.E. Smith again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
