Delphi Community took an 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Winamac, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Oracles narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Warriors 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Oracles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Mairi Cunningham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sami Leopard was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyissa Stier, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Delphi Community was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winamac only posted a batting average of .192.

Delphi Community's record now sits at 5-1. As for Winamac, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Delphi Community didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-4 defeat against Twin Lakes on the 20th. As for Winamac, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-6 win against Pioneer on the 20th.
