Soccer Game Preview: Upper Columbia Academy vs. Newport + How To Watch

The Upper Columbia Academy Lions will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Newport Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Upper Columbia Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Upper Columbia Academy lost 5-1 to Freeman on Thursday.

The Lions' goal came courtesy of Katie Michaelis, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Newport came up short against Davenport on Thursday, falling 9-2. Newport haven't had much luck with Davenport recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Newport now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Upper Columbia Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Upper Columbia Academy beat Newport 5-3 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
