Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Dixie walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Sky View Bobcats with a sharp 16-4 victory on Saturday. The Flyers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Dixie got a massive performance out of Eliza Kesterson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Mayci Bradshaw was another key player, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.

Dixie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Dixie moved to 11-18 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Sky View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sky View beat Dixie by a score of 11-1 later that day.
