Lamar has gone 9-1 against La Junta recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Thunder will challenge the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lamar and Fowler meet (seven straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Thunder walked away with a 3-1 win over the Grizzlies. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-14, 27-25, 21-25, 25-15.

Meanwhile, La Junta got the win against Ellicott on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

La Junta was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-19.

Lamar's record is now 10-3. As for La Junta, their record now sits at 6-7.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Lamar hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 5 blocks per game. It's a different story for La Junta, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 blocks. Given Lamar's sizable advantage in that area, the Tigers will need to find a way to close that gap.

Lamar took their win against La Junta when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
