Football Game Preview: Tabernacle vs. Victory Christian

Tabernacle are packing up and hiking across state lines for their contest on Friday. They hope to keep the momentum going despite having enjoyed some extra time before their next matchup against Victory Christian at 7:00 PM. If the matchup is anything like the 60-54 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.

Tabernacle were fully in charge two weeks ago, breezing past Lighthouse HomeSchool 50-8. With Tabernacle ahead 36-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Victory Christian faced Russell Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Victory Christian took a serious blow against Russell Christian Academy last week, falling 0-52. Victory Christian were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-33.

Tabernacle's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Victory Christian's loss dropped them down to 2-1. In Tabernacle's win, junior Josiah Davis rushed for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns and senior Isaac Anderson caught passes for 84 yards and 3 touchdowns. We'll see if Victory Christian have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
