Softball Recap: Nicholas County Takes a Loss

Nicholas County lost against Ritchie County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Grizzlies lost 9-2 to the Rebels. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zoe Nash and Brylee Scott stepped up to the plate in a big way. Nash went 1-for-2 with one home run, while Scott went a perfect 1-for-1 with four stolen bases. That hit marked the first that Scott has got this season.

Nicholas County now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Ritchie County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2-1 record this season.

While Nicholas County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
