Football Recap: Prattville Christian Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Loachapoka

Prattville Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 49-24 to the Loachapoka Indians on Friday.

Prattville Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Tillman Simpson and Cody Chapman. Simpson picked up 68 receiving yards and one score, while Chapman picked up 43 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Loachapoka was led to victory by Kj Carter and Lareaco Echols. Carter rushed for 129 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries, while Echols rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Echols didn't just play on offense: he also made seven total tackles and defended one pass.

Looking ahead, Prattville Christian Academy will be playing at home against McKenzie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Loachapoka, they will venture away from home to challenge Lee-Scott Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
