Baseball Recap: Bassett Comes Up Short

Bassett lost against Patrick County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bengals fell 7-2 to the Cougars.

Bassett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Patrick County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Bassett will welcome Martinsville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Patrick County, they will venture away from home to challenge Radford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season.
