Basketball Recap: McMinnville Takes a Loss

McMinnville suffered their biggest loss since February 16, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Sherwood Bowmen, falling 70-50. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Bowmen are ranked 13th).

McMinnville has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Sherwood, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

McMinnville will challenge Newberg at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sherwood, they will square off against Century at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
