South Vermillion falls despite strong effort from Luke Bush

Recap: South Vermillion Wildcats vs. Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots

The South Vermillion Wildcats suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Terre Haute North Vigo 83-49. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Vermillion in their matchups with Terre Haute North Vigo: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, South Vermillion still got an impressive performance from Luke Bush, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dylan Conder, who scored 14 points.

Terre Haute North Vigo's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Renn, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Renn continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Fennell, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

South Vermillion has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

South Vermillion will be playing at home against Parke Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Parke Heritage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Friday. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they will head out on the road to challenge Columbus North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
