Baseball Game Preview: Belle Plaine Plainsmen vs. Keota Eagles

Belle Plaine and Keota are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2018, but likely not for long. The Plainsmen will take on the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Belle Plaine barely beat H-L-V the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Plainsmen put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 11-3 win on Friday. The Plainsmen haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Keota posted their closest win since June 14, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against B-G-M, sneaking past 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Belle Plaine's record is now 4-5. As for Keota, their record now sits at an identical 4-5.

Belle Plaine might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Keota in their previous meeting back in June of 2024. Can the Plainsmen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
