Baseball Recap: Tularosa Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Tularosa barely beat Socorro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 11-4 win on Saturday. The Wildcats have beaten the Warriors the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Tularosa's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Esquero, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. What's more, Esquero posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another was Samuel Kusmak, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Tularosa's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Socorro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
