It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Chuckey-Doak ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes 11-10. This was payback for the Black Knights, who suffered a 7-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Cooper Seay, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Randel Sauceman, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Chuckey-Doak is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19-1.
