Basketball Recap: Colorado Springs Christian Snags 15th Victory in Last 16 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Colorado Springs Christian rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Wiggins Tigers by a score of 47-35.

Colorado Springs Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordyn Rollins, who posted 15 points along with five assists and five boards. Rollins is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Capri Simpson, who scored 13 points.

Despite the defeat, Wiggins saw an underclassman step up: freshman Karsyn Kerr went 5-for-7 on her way to 11 points and five rebounds. Ali Beauprez also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Colorado Springs Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Wiggins and nudges their season record down to 18-10.
