Central strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 40-6 victory over the Blacksburg Wildcats. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Wildcats are ranked 211th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dwayne Louallen Jr, who threw for 180 yards and one TD while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Aiden Short handled things on the ground, rushing for 90 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tahir Wise and Aidan Welch. Welch got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Central's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Blacksburg, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will welcome Cheraw at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Blacksburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Broome at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Centurions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
