Basketball Game Preview: St. Marys Bears vs. Riley County Falcons

St. Marys hasn't had much luck against Riley County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The St. Marys Bears will head out to face off against the Riley County Falcons. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Riley County heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when St. Marys took over last week. St. Marys took down Hiawatha 59-43 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Riley County entered their tilt with Nemaha Central on Friday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 33-32 W against the Thunder.

St. Marys now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Riley County, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

St. Marys might still be hurting after the 59-37 loss they got from Riley County when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can St. Marys avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
