Johansen takes loss despite strong efforts from Wilbert Gaxiola and Caidan Bounmany

Recap: Johansen Vikings vs. Pacheco Panthers
The Johansen Vikings suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Monday. They fell just short of Pacheco by a score of 54-51. Johansen was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pacheco apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 3rd.
Johansen's loss came despite strong showings from Caidan Bounmany and Wilbert Gaxiola. Bounmany scored 18 points, while Gaxiola scored 17 points. Jeremiah Silva was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Johansen's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Pacheco, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johansen will take on Mountain House at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain House is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. As for Pacheco, they will play host again and welcome Lathrop, where tip off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Lathrop is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.8 points per game.
