Baseball Recap: Woodside Comes Up Short

After soaring to 22 runs the game before, Woodside was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They fell 5-2 to the Terra Nova Tigers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Woodside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mateus Mokhtarani, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Woodside's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Terra Nova, they pushed their record up to 9-2-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Woodside by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.
