Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Catholic Lancers vs. Weston Trojans
The Notre Dame Catholic Lancers have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 50-38 victory over Weston on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Notre Dame Catholic, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Madison Gibbs, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kendra Mitacek, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Notre Dame Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-12 record this season. As for Weston, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
