Football Recap: Chamberlain Sets Scoring Season-High Against Robinson

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chamberlain). They blew past the Robinson Knights 39-14 on Friday. The Storm might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chamberlain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jet Durfee, who threw for 155 yards and three TDs. Those 155 passing yards gave Durfee a new career-high. Andre Moore also helped with two scores in total.

Chamberlain didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Steven Valentine and Devonte Spears. Valentine is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Chamberlain got some further help from Jermiah Holden: he forced one fumble and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

The victory made it two in a row for Chamberlain and bumps their season record up to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.5 points over those games. As for Robinson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Chamberlain and Robinson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Storm (ranked 311th) will meet Lennard (ranked 88th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Robinson will face off against Tampa Bay Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (440 vs. 37).
