Volleyball Recap: Hazelwood East Comes Up Short

Hazelwood East lost against Holt back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Indians. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Holt found their leader in sophomore Ashlyn ` Winans, who had five digs and two aces. Adrianna Diaz also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Hazelwood East's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Holt, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Hazelwood East will head out to face off against University City at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Holt, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Hazelwood Central on the 4th.
