Soccer Recap: Issaquah Comes Up Short

Issaquah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Newport - Bellevue Knights. While losing is never fun, Issaquah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Newport - Bellevue are ranked 21st).

Issaquah's record is now 2-6. As for Newport - Bellevue, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Issaquah will challenge rival Eastlake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Newport - Bellevue is set to take on their familiar foe Redmond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
