Recap: Beaver Dam Diamondback vs. Water Canyon Wildcats
The Beaver Dam Diamondback lost against the Water Canyon Wildcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Beaver Dam was outmatched by Water Canyon on the road and fell 69-27. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Beaver Dam in their matchups with Water Canyon: they've now lost six in a row.
Aaron Barlow was a one-man wrecking crew for Water Canyon as he scored 24 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dynonte Blackmore, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Beaver Dam's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Water Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Beaver Dam will look to defend their home court on Friday against Escalante at 5:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Escalante is ranked 59th in Utah, while Beaver Dam is ranked 61st in Arizona). As for Water Canyon, they will head out on the road to face off against Parowan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Parowan comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
