East Rochester had won six straight at home, but on Saturday they bumped their record up to 14-3 to make it seven. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Williamson Marauders 1-0. For the Bombers, this counts as revenge for the 12-2 victory the Marauders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

As for Williamson, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Williamson's part, David DeFisher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. DeFisher has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

East Rochester didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-1 win against Marion on the 19th. As for Williamson, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-4 victory against Gananda Central on the 19th.
