Baseball Recap: Jasper Gets the Win

Jasper took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Ozark Catholic Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pirates narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Griffins 7-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

The team relied heavily on Max Davis, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Jayce Rylee was another key player, earning one RBI and two runs.

Jasper's record is now 5-1. As for Ozark Catholic Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Jasper is taking a road trip to challenge Viola at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Longhorns at the right time seeing as the Longhorns are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Ozark Catholic Academy, they will welcome Cotter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
