Basketball Recap: San Tan Charter Takes a Loss

San Tan Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 72-11 defeat at the hands of the Pima Roughriders. The Roadrunners were not able to make up for their loss to the Roughriders from their previous meeting back in December of 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pima to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adysen Hoopes, who went 7-for-11 on her way to 16 points and five steals. That's the most steals Hoopes has posted since back in December of 2024. Morgan Russell was another key player, going 7-for-10 en route to 16 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks.

San Tan Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Pima, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8.

San Tan Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pima, they have already played their next matchup, a 58-26 win against Horizon Honors on the 17th.
