Basketball Recap: Andrew Terry Key Part of a Team Effort in Indians Win

On Saturday, the Montgomery County Indians didn't have too much trouble with the Lexington Catholic Knights as they won 69-54. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Montgomery County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Terry, who posted seven points in addition to 14 boards and six assists. Those six assists gave Terry a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Fawns, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Terry wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Montgomery County was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Montgomery County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Lexington Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Montgomery County will host Powell County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Montgomery County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches. As for Lexington Catholic, they will head out to challenge Tates Creek at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th.
