Basketball Recap: Hudson Takes a Loss

Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 51-42 to the Crystal River Pirates. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cobras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-55 back in December of 2024.

Jordan Dumal was a one-man wrecking crew for Crystal River as he dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most rebounds Dumal has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Ej Jenkins, who posted eight points.

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Crystal River, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Hudson will head out on the road to face off against Anclote at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crystal River, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 84-57 victory against Weeki Wachee on the 10th.
