Volleyball Game Preview: Gunn Titans vs. Mountain View Spartans

The Gunn Titans will head out to square off against the Mountain View Spartans at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Gunn will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Gunn barely beat Los Altos the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Gunn's way against Los Altos on Wednesday as Gunn made off with a 3-0 victory. The Titans not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 27th.

While Gunn won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-23.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Mountain View sidestepped Fremont for a 3-2 win.

Mountain View wouldn't go down easily and took Fremont into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 15-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Gunn's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Mountain View, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Gunn skirted past Mountain View 3-2 when the teams last played on Friday. Will Gunn repeat their success, or does Mountain View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
