The Rogers Eagles can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They took down Round Rock Christian Academy 73-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Round Rock Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Wes Owens, who scored 29 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. The match was Owens' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaedan Castro, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Rogers' win bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Round Rock Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Vanguard Academy Rembrandt the next time they take the court. Rogers will head out to face Vanguard Academy Rembrandt at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while Round Rock Christian Academy will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
