Versailles had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Saturday. They blew past the Bethel Bees 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ian Bergman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jace Watren, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Deland, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Versailles' win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Bethel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.

Versailles does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bethel, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Urbana on the 17th.
